The Houston HBCU Alumni Association, INC is a non-profit 501 c (3) organization. It is a consortium of local Houston based Alumni of several Black colleges and universities. Our former name is the Houston Coalition of Black Alumni Associations, Inc. which was incorporated on December 1,1986 and gained its 501 c (3) tax exempt status on April 17,1990.

The major objectives of our organization are to:

• Increase alumni contributors and their contributions to their alma maters.
• Maintain a communications network, promote cooperation, and disseminate information of vital importance to alumni of member colleges, other groups and organizations.
• Acquaint prospective students and the public about the value of historically Black colleges and universities as excellent places of study and producers of future leaders.
• Increase corporate contributors and acquaint them with graduates of HBCU’s.
• Promote graduate participation with their respective alumni associations.
